15

Kyle turned 15 yesterday. His requests for the day were a brownie ice cream cake and eating dinner out. Oh, and of course, family to share it with :)

50

Kirk turned 50 on May 29th. Noelle and I bought him a chocolate cake and vanilla ice cream at his request. He stayed home from work to be with us. Noelle did the candles and we sang to him.
Kyle video taped us singing but I'll spare you the bad singing, lol.

Noelle's Birthday Celebration

Katlyn's birthday is 6 days before Noelle's so it was a double celebration. They both got some flip flops, candy, a Webkinz horse, Faith Girlz books, and went out to dinner. While waiting for Katlyn's parents to pick her up the girls jumped on the trampoline and still didn't want the day to end when they showed up.

Here's a video montage of the day. Enjoy!

12

My baby girl is 12 years old today. I've never been one of those parents that make a big deal out of my kids getting older (although joking around happens ;) I have enjoyed them at each stage of their lives.

We are foregoing the big party this year and are instead going to use that money for Noelle and her friend Katlyn to go shopping and out to dinner. I will be chaperoning intense girl time and really looking forward to it =D This won't take place until Thursday.

So today will be low key with just our family, grandma, and grandpa over for cake and sherbet. Oh, and her dad took her out for lunch (always a treat).

Ear rings from grandma and grandpa.
And who can forget a picture of the cake with special friends.

Kyle's Birthday

July 24th!

For breakfast, fresh blueberry pancakes and bacon. Yum!

For dinner, out to eat for Pizza!

Back home for cake and ice cream.

He's 14. What can I say? He likes to eat ;)

We'll celebrate with friends and family August 2nd as well.

Festivities

It was a really good party and everyone enjoyed themselves in spite of the cool weather and few sprinkles that fell.

Everyone roasted their own hot dogs over the fire and added their own toppings (chili, cheese, sauerkraut, onions, relish, ketchup, mustard, etc.).

We also had baked macaroni and cheese, potato salad, baked beans, macaroni salad, chips, cheese popcorn, cheese puffs, pink lemonade, coffee, and bottled water.

Noelle then opened her gifts (we crammed into our small house to watch) and received many very nice things.

After that we sang to her and served up the cake (a three layer strawberry cake, frosted with mixed together strawberry and vanilla frostings, and strawberry fruit spread between the layers) and ice cream (Strawberry Revel).

Clean-up didn't take long and we have managed to keep the house picked up for the last two days, a pretty big feat for a family that likes to spread out all over working on whatever projects are sparking interests at the moment.

The biggest wrinkle in all of our preparing and partying has been our dog chasing his tail non-stop because it is also flea season and he is allergic to them, a trait of labs that is quite annoying. We are doing our best to keep him doped up on benadryl to make it more bearable for him. First nice day, temperature wise, he's getting a bath and flea treatment!
